The pavilion is a 'T' shaped building and is the focal point of the club and also houses the Kitchen, Sauna, Changing Room, Showers and Toilet facilities. The main part of the pavilion is comfortably furnished and has as a central feature a Wood Burning stove. This provides a relaxing area for members all year round and also includes a library of books and magazines to suit most tastes so there is always something available to read.

The Kitchen is available for use by the members at all times and is very well equipped with the following items. Cooker, Microwave Ovens, Toasters, Electric Kettles, full ranges of Plates, Cups, Saucers, Cutlery and Glassware. Also for the use of members are refrigerators and freezers to store food whilst at the club. The idea is that members bring their own ingredients for food and drink and can then prepare / cook whatever they need whilst at the club. This facility is provided free of charge but we do expect members to wash up and put away all items of club equipment used and to leave the kitchen clean and tidy for other members. Tea and coffee ingredients are available for sale should you forget or not wish to bring your own. Snacks and Ice Creams are also for sale all year round.

The sauna is of a good size and can accommodate up to 12 persons at one time and is in use regularly during the winter months. The sauna is powered by a Finnish Wood Burning Sauna Stove and full instructions in it's operation are posted on the outside of the Sauna Room. The sauna is very efficient and takes less than and hour to reach operating temperature.

The showers and toilets are housed in extended part of the pavilion and are as you would expect, clean and modern. There are no charges for the use of the showers but like most other aspects of the club, members are expected to clean up the area after use ready for other members to use. Members need to provide their own towels and toiletries.

The swimming pool is a ground level pool measuring 11metres x 5.5 metres with a constant depth of 1.1 metres. The pool is heated and constantly filtered via a pressure sand filter with a salt chlorinator system ensuring the chemical balance is well maintained. Regular water quality testing ensures healthy and crystal clear water at all times thus making this a very popular feature for all members young and old.

BBQs are a great social feature at Avonvale and are held most Saturdays and occasional other nights throughout the summer months. Members bring their own food and drink and we all cook at the same time on the clubs communal BBQ fires and therefore all sit down about the same time to eat and chat together. The club has ample tables and chairs so again there is no need to bring your own unless you really want to. Because we are in a unique woodland location we only allow BBQ's on the clubs own fires so individual BBQ's are not allowed due to the possible risk of fire.

It can be a real pain to bring sun loungers to the club every time you visit so we have storage facilities to store sun loungers etc. which are rented to members for a small nominal sum per year. You can of course bring your equipment with you and take it home again if you wish but the storage facility is available for those who wish to make use of it. As this is a members club and non profit making it does bring in a few extra pounds a year which all goes into the running, maintenance and improvements to the club.

At Avonvale we take child safeguarding very seriously so members with children do not have to worry about the safety of their children. Avonvale is a very safe place for all members but we have an appointed Child Safeguarding Team that parents can speak to at any time should there be any concern whatsoever with respect to their children. All the parents we have had past and present have been very happy with the safe and friendly environment that exists at Avonvale. In fact the club has seen many children grow from toddlers to adults.
